Girls and Boystown South Africa was started IN 1958. The Project is registered as a Children’s Home. We work with youth between 12 and 16 years of age who present difficult or challenging behaviour. These youth are referred to us via the Social Work agencies. The project not only provides residential services but also therapeutic, educational, recreational and spiritual development for the youth. Youth are taught social skills for appropriate functioning in the society and are given an opportunity to be successful in their endeavors. The youth attend school in the community and also religious services as well as recreational services. There is currently 45 young persons in the residential facility and 15 that are awaiting admission due to the school placements.
